Notepad Tutorial #2

Here's my second tutorial for a super duper easy note pad ^.^
  • Cardboard
  • Scrap book paper
  • Scrap paper [I used sticky notes]
  • Glue [Decoupage is optional]
  • Ruler
  • Marker
  • Brads
  • Stapler
  • Embellishments [Optional]
  1. If you are using scraps of paper, make sure that they are all cut to the same size and stapled together at the top middle. Use the formula above to cut the size of your cardboard. [Because I was using relatively thin stack of paper I only had a two centimeter 'fold-over' but if your paper is a considerably thick stack, I would consider using this tutorial instead.] Make your scrap booking paper about double the size of the cardboard
  2. Glue the cardboard to the scrapbook paper.
  3. Fold the edges over and glue down. Put a coat of decoupage medium to make it more durable
  4. Glue the note pad on and score a line right next to the edge of the notepad on the cardboard. Fold over the cardboard on this score line and insert two brads
  5. Embellish if you want and, You're done
I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and if there are any problems leave a comment. ^.^
Until Next time,
Olivia~ ^.^

I made a new bag!

I was rereading //Between the lines //'s messenger bag tutorial and decided that I had to make one to replace my old, dying bag. So, here it is, with my brother modeling it ^.^
I didn't add the ruffle because I'm still not proficient in sewing but I guess it came out alright ^.^

I Finally Bought Mod Podge!!

After looking everywhere, today at Parramatta Westfield at a store named 'Riot' [now my favourite for arts and crafts] I found some and bought 236ml [8oz] Mod Podge Gloss, as they didn't have any matte version [was a little expensive at about $20, a little above my price range but I was there so mum and I thought we'd may as well buy it]. We also bought a Canvas [14"x18"] for only $5 and various Glitter packs for only $2 each [marked down from $4]. What a bargain!
But still I'm really overjoyed and cannot wait to use them all ^.^

Notepad Tutorial

This is my first tutorial and it's a very simple and slick note pad. This is a great gift for friends and family and is uber quick to whip up ^.^ Enjoy~
  • Sticky Notes
  • Craft glue
  • Scrapbook Paper [or in my case I used wrapping paper from Ikea]
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Marker
  • Brads
  • String
  1. Cut the cardboard 2.5 times the length of your sticky notes and for the width .5mm plus the width of your paper. See Image
  2. cut your scrap book paper about 50% larger than the cardboard and glue them together. Once dry fold over the extra on the sides. I like to also put a layer of decoupage medium on each side as well, just to make it more durable.
  3. Put your sticky notes in the approximate middle of the cardboard and glue down. Score about 1/2mm away from the sticky notes and then the thickness of the pad away on the top and the bottom.

  4. Fold the cardboard to get the creases in and layer the cardboard like the image below.
  5. Cut out two circles out of some scrap cardboard and cover them in what ever paper of fabric of your taste. In my case I used aluminum foil.
  6. Poke a brad through the middle of the circle but don't open their legs yet!
  7. Poke the brad through your cardboard where ever you like and fasten them securely. Do so with the other on the other flap. Make sure one piece of cardboard overlaps the other and that none of the circles hit the opposite pieces of paper.
  8. Tie a piece of string on the top layer of cardboard and cut off the excess.
  9. Admire your finished product ^.^
I hope you all enjoyed my tutorial, I hope I explained everything clearly
Please comment if you have any queries or comments ^.^
